The upcoming Baleno facelift gets a new interior and exterior styling update. However, the car will continue to carry the same powertrain used in the previous version.

The new exterior styling creates a bold and smart look to the hatchback. At the front, the car comes with newly designed headlamps with LED daytime running lights. The front grill stretches a bit towards the top edges to integrate with the headlamps. The front foglamps also come in a new design and get a newly designed housing.

Highlights of the side profile are the chrome window lining that extends upward from the rear quarter window, and a slightly modified quarter panel to house the new tail lamps. At the rear, the 2022 Baleno facelift features a new L- shaped tail lamp, an updated tailgate, and a larger rear bumper.

Maruti is bringing in best-in-class luxury and technological features to stay on top of the game. inside the cabin, the new Baleno facelift will feature a sculpted dashboard with aluminium styling inserts and a 9-inch hovering infotainment system at the center. Moreover, the car also gets sleek AC vents below the center console and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.

The infotainment system will come with an onboard sim that will enable the car to get connected features such as real-time tracking, find your car, intrusion detection, geofencing, and tow away alert. The hatchback will also support Apple car play and Android Auto connectivity.

Just like the outgoing model, the facelift version of Baleno will feature high-quality materials in the interiors.

The 2022 Baleno facelift will continue to house the tried and tested pair of 1.2-litre naturally aspirated gasoline engines seen in the previous models. This motor can generate 83hp (standard unit) and 90hp (mild-hybrid unit) respectively. A 5-speed manual and CVT automatic transmission setup will be provided as options.

The upcoming facelifted Baleno will rival the likes of Hyundai i-20, tata Altroz, Volkswagen polo, and Honda jazz, etc. We expect Maruti to price the hatch between Rs. 5.99 Lakhs and Rs. 9.55 lakhs.
