Hyundai makes a stylish comeback with the latest feature updates to the 2022 Hyundai i20 lineup. One of the most desired arenas in the Indian vehicle market is the premium hatchback segment. With top players like Hyundai i20, Maruti Baleno and Tata Altroz in the arena, it has become a competitive space for the motorheads.

Not long ago, the Baleno received a crucial upgrade which comes with updates in features and exterior design. The latest variant of the premium hatchback is a dashing display and has made it to the books. In response to this, Hyundai has made some advancements in the lineup of its offering.

Feature Updates: 2022 Hyundai i20

Slight changes are made to the 2022 i20 which brings with it the addition of upgraded features. Along with that, it is said that a few features and variants have also been taken off from the i20 lineup. For example, the Asta trim further will not be available with the 1.0-litre turbo petrol DCT and the 1.2-litre petrol IVT automatic unit.

Instead, these variants have been replaced by an advanced spec 1.2-litre petrol IVT Asta (O) and 1.0-litre Sportz DCT trim which is offered only in the manual transmission variants up until now.

When it comes to greater feature updates, a few comfort inducers have been included or upgraded in the i20 lineup. To start with, the exceptional base Magna trim will receive wheel covers that are now completed in gunmetal rather than silver colour. The manual AC in the Sportz trim has been replaced with automatic climate control along with cruise control.

Interestingly, an addition of six new voice commands had been added by Hyundai for the connected car features. This includes navigation assistance, driver window control, sunroof controls, latest sports addition, contact information and a welcome message. These features were updated on the Asta (O) trim. A few other features were removed from the package other than this.

The Asta trim stopped receiving BlueLink connected car features but an electric sunroof and cruise control have been added. Furthermore, the 8-inch unit has replaced the standard 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is a downgrade. These are some of the currently updated features for the 2022 Hyundai i20. The design and specifications remain the same for the premium hatchback.
