2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk Launched At Rs. 30.72 Lakh

Jeep India has reintroduced Compass Trailhawk in our market. This is a flagship variant in the Compass lineup. The 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk carries an introductory price of Rs 30.72 lakh. The new Trailhawk gets an engine fine-tuned for the best on-road and off-road driving experience. The SUV also carries all the exterior and tech upgrades from the Compass facelift.

2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk: Powertrain

The regular Compass comes with a 167-hp 2.0-litre diesel engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. There is also a 160-hp 1.4-litre turbo-petrol with a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT auto gearbox. Both variants get a 4×2 drivetrain. 

On the other hand, Trailhawk comes with a 2.0-litre diesel engine that develops 170 hp and 350 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Moreover, the Trailhawk gets 4WD as standard. Due to this, its fuel efficiency drops down to 14.9 kmpl.

2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk: Interior and Tech

The new Jeep Compass Trailhawk comes with multiple features including select-terrain drive modes, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with modern connectivity features including Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Also, a 10.2-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Other interior features include a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, and dual-zone climate control.

The Trailhawk also gets a modern dashboard layout and the ‘Trailhawk’ logos with red stitching on the seats. Moreover, Jeep has also included ventilated and powered front seats. This feature was missing in the previous model.

Exterior updates

Jeep has made minor tweaks on the exterior technical elements to provide an enhanced driving experience. The ride height is now increased an inch and stands at 205 mm. This delivers an enhanced approach angle of 30 degrees. On the other hand, the standard variant comes with an approach angle of 16.8 degrees. There is a significant increase in departure angles from 24 degrees to 34 degrees.

Other exterior styling updates include a dual-tone paint job, 17-inch alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, LED taillights, LED projector headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, and a red colour rear tow hook. Also, the Trailhawk has a raised suspension that enables a water wading depth of 483 mm.
