No sooner than the official launch of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno that’s scheduled someday this month, the teaser image of the facelift version of the hatchback was leaked. The leaked image shows a glimpse of the front end of the upcoming version of the hatchback.
What we know about 2022 Maruti Baleno
The image shows a wider front grille and new headlamps. What we know is the top lamps seem to be LED units with integrated DRLs that are redesigned. The front bumper appears to be reprofiled with larger air inlets and a lot of distinguished fog lamps.
The details on the inside don’t seem to be out there at the moment. However, we expect it to come to light in the coming few weeks. Upon arrival, the new Baleno can be a rival to the Tata Altroz, Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai i20, and Honda Jazz.
Engine and Powertrain 2022 model
Its engine setup, however, is assumed to stay unchanged. The new model will escort the 83bhp, 1.2L gasoline and an associated 90bhp, 1.2L petrol with 12V mild hybrid technology powertrain options. The manual gearbox is to be carried forward from this model. Reports recommend that the new Maruti Baleno 2022 might be offered with the AMT gearbox, borrowed from the Swift, rather than the CVT automatic unit.
Maruti Baleno interior and exteriors
Inside the new 2022 Maruti Baleno, there will be a newly-designed dashboard along with an updated free-standing infotainment system supporting Andriod Auto and Apple CarPlay. The hatchback may also be offered with the Heads-Up-Display (HUD) and connected automotive tech. The AC vents are positioned horizontally. Safety options correspond to six airbags and an electronic stability program (ESP) which might be reserved for higher trims.
It’s exterior is going to have several noticeable changes. The new 2022 Maruti Baleno facelift can feature a replacement larger front grille, L-shaped garment projector headlamps with LED DRLs, and a rather revised bonnet. Different cosmetic updates will embrace the revised front and rear fenders, new L-shaped tail lamps, and redesigned front and rear bumpers.
