Maruti Suzuki XL6 was a premium MPV launched in 2019. This MPV is a premium model above the Ertiga. The XL6 came in a six-seat cabin configuration, unique front design, and a sharp-looking crossover theme. A highly camouflaged test mule was spotted recently and it reveals relevant information about the upcoming Maruti Suzuki XL6 facelift.

The upcoming facelift of the XL6 has minor design changes. In fact, except for the newly-designed front grille and alloy wheels, everything else remains unchanged in the MPV. Moreover, the updated alloy wheels look similar to the ones seen on the Suzuki XL7 on sale in some foreign markets.
The upcoming facelift might include an additional 7-seater layout and modern features such as remote keyless entry, cruise control, power and tilt steering, and electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs.
Maruthi Suzuki XL6 Facelift: Features and powertrain
We are expecting the new XL6 facelift to offer features such as LED headlamps, fog lamps, and tail lamps, 15-inch alloys, push-button start, automatic climate control, cruise control, power-folding, and adjustable headrests for all three rows.
The new 7.0-inch infotainment system will support the SmartPlay Studio system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity, and Maruti’s new digital architecture. Also, safety features in the XL6 include- dual airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD and brake assist, hill start assist, electronic stability program, central locking, and Isofix child seat mounts.
Under the hood, the new XL6 will carry a mild-hybrid 1.5-litre petrol motor that can generate 103hp and 138Nm of peak torque. A 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox and a 5-speed manual Gearbox are available as transmission options. In fact, the current XL6 engine incorporates Maruti’s smart hybrid technology. This offers features like a starter generator, engine idle start-stop, brake energy regeneration, and torque assist for faster acceleration.
Pricing and Competition
Prices for the current XL6 start at Rs. 9.98 lakhs. This premium MPV doesn’t have any direct competition. The upcoming model will be available around the same price range. However, the XL6’s closest competition is the Mahindra Marazzo and its sibling the Ertiga. Maruthi will roll out 2022 XL6 at the beginning of next year.
