Renault has introduced the 2022 Kwid Facelift at a starting price of Rs. 4.49 lakh. The Kwid underwent a significant design change in 2019 after 4 years. Now Renault has given minor updates to the Kwid. Competing with the Maruti Alto and S-Presso, the Kwid is slightly expensive.

2022 Renault Kwid Pricing

The entry-level 2022 Renault Kwid price in India is Rs. 4.49 lakh and the fully-loaded CLIMBER EASR-R trim is priced at Rs. 5.83 lakh. The Kwid is almost Rs. 1.25 lakh more than the Maruti Alto and Rs 55,000/- more than the S-Presso. 

Renault has also given the Kwid an additional RXL trim in its lineup. Unlike the RXT trim, the new RXL trim is available in both 800 cc and 1000 cc engine options. And of course, the RXL gets better features and equipment than the base trim. 

The Kwid is sold in 5 single tone colour schemes – Ice Cool White, Moonlight Silver, Fiery Red, Outback Bronze and Zanskar Blue. The top-spec variant gets two dual-tone schemes – Metal Mustard + Mystery Black Roof and Ice Cool White + Mystery Black Roof. 

Engine Options 

The same 3-cylinder 0.8-litre and 3-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engines are carried forward. The smaller engine produces 54 hp and 72 Nm of torque while the 1.0-litre engine makes 68 hp and 91 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox is common for both engines. But the 1.0-litre engine gets an additional 5-speed AMT setup.

2022 Renault Kwid Interior & Exterior

2022 Renault KwidOn the outside, the 2022 Renault Kwid is very close to its predecessor. The only prominent change is the new alloy wheel design. The interior also remains identical apart from the minor cosmetic updates. 

2022 Renault KwidIt has an 8.0-inch touchscreen system supporting Android Auto, Apple CarPlay with voice recognition features. The features and equipment list remain the same as the outgoing model. Renault has concentrated on the safety side of the car. The Kwid now gets seatbelt pre-tensioners as standard. Earlier, this feature was only standard on the driver’s seatbelt. Safety-wise, it also gets ABS with EBD, Overspeed alert, seat belt reminder.
