Toyota has set off the year 2022 with the launch of the Camry Hybrid sedan. The predecessor was launched back in 2019 which was the 8th generation Camry. The 2022 Camry hybrid has received a mild life cycle update inside the cabin and the exterior design. The sedan is available in a single fully loaded variant and is priced at ₹41.7 lakh (ex-showroom).

2022 Toyota Camry hybridLet’s talk about the interiors where major changes have been made. A new cabin layout features a Y-shaped design with a floating 9-inch touchscreen system. The infotainment system now gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with improved software. AC vents have now been repositioned below the infotainment system. 

Since the sedan gets features such as 10-way adjustable driver seats with memory function, sunroof, 9-speakers JBL audio system, 3-zone climate control, wireless charging, heads-up display, reverse camera and more.

On the outside, you can see minor changes on the 2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid. There is less use of chrome on the front. The front grille is much sleeker and the air dam is bigger than its predecessor. The other update would be the redesigned dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels. 

Like its predecessor, the 2022 Toyota Camry hybrid will also underpin the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture). The mechanically unchanged sedan will feature a single 2.5-Litre petrol engine coupled to a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The total output of these two systems is 218bhp and 202Nm of torque. This engine is coupled with a CVT automatic transmission that provides 23.27kmpl. 

Toyota India plans 

Toyota India has been working on adding new vehicles to its lineup in 2022. We already know that the Japanese automaker is readying to launch the Rebadged Toyota Belta sedan and the Hilux pickup truck. The Hilux is set to be launched on the 20th of this month.
