2023 BMW Alpina B4 Gran Coupe Revealed

In global markets, BMW has unveiled a new model – the 2023 Alpina B4 Gran Coupe. The new Alpina B4 Gran Coupe is a more practical and performance-oriented car. The BMW Alpina B4 Gran Coupe is built on the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe platform. It stands between the 4 Series and M4 Competition models.

2023 BMW Alpina B4: Design

The BMW Alpina B4 has a slew of tweaks, including a version of Alpina’s signature alloy wheels, LED lighting and a pair of 20-inch wheels are among the car’s features. Pirelli P Zero performance tyres were integrated with these wheels. It features a slanted roofline, carved bonnet, air vents, Alpina badging, & huge chromed kidney grille. Black B-pillars, ORVMs, and side skirts surround it on all sides. Alpina’s signature blue and green hues will be accessible in the colour palette.

With a 2856 mm wheelbase, the BMW Alpina B4 Gran Coupe is 4792 mm long, 1850 mm wide, and 1440 mm tall. With the rear seats upright, the boot space is 470 litres. If the rear seats are folded, this expands to 1290 litres.

The cabin of the BMW Alpina B4 Gran Coupe is lavish, with heated seats, a 3-spoke versatile steering wheel, and Lavalina leather upholstery. It also features automatic climate control and ambient lighting. Cross-traffic alert, multiple airbags, traction control, & lane change warning features contribute to the passengers’ safety.

According to NEDC regulations, the BMW Alpina B4 Gran Coupe’s combined fuel economy is 9.8 L/100km (app 10.2 kmpl). It has a 59-litre fuel tank and requires at least 98 RON premium regular petrol.

2023 BMW Alpina B4: Performance

Alpina equips the car with bespoke front anti-roll bars, as well as adaptable dampers and springs that are tuned in and calibrated specifically for this model. The front camber has also been modified to enhance handling. Alpina has re-tuned the steering system of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe that provides a single Comfort option and two Sports modes.

The all-wheel-drive B4 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six engine tuned by Alpina to deliver 495 hp, similar to the M4. Power is transferred through 8-speed automatic transmission. The B4 is claimed to reach 62 mph in 3.7 seconds, which is three-tenths slower than BMW’s M4 Competition. The B4’s max speed is claimed to be 187 mph (301 kmph).

The BMW Alpina B4 Gran Coupe has a starting price of €91,800 in Europe (around Rs. 77 lakh). Bookings for the automobile have begun with delivery expected to begin in July 2022.
