The powerful, elegant, and agile hot hatch, the 2023 Toyota GR Corolla, is on its way. After the GR Supra, GR86, and GR Yaris, Toyota’s fourth Gazoo Racing sports car is the GR Corolla. This brand-new addition to Toyota’s booming racing automobile range delivers performance, agility, and functionality. 
There will be two trim levels available for the GR Corolla i.e Core and Circuit Edition. The Toyota GR Corolla will go on sale in international markets later this year.
2023 Toyota GR Corolla Design
At first glance, the Toyota GR Corolla looks absolutely stunning. Redesigned front and rear bumpers, as well as diamond-cut 18-inch alloy wheels, are among the appearance modifications made to the GR Corolla. It also gets a new grille treatment and two-tone exterior paint. The GR Sport finish has also been applied to the interior such as the dashboard and doors, distinctive red stitching on the seats, & unique black sports seats.
Toyota GR Corolla Equipment
The Toyota GR Corolla has an 8.0-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, it incorporates Amazon Alexa capability. The base Core trim ditches Corolla’s instrument cluster for a 12.3-inch TFT screen with gauges and equips a 6-speaker audio system. Moreover, it also comprises a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, aluminium pedal covers, ambient inside lighting, & a push-button start
A wireless smartphone charging pad, an 8-speaker JBL stereo system, and an in-dash navigator are all standard on the Circuit Edition trim. It also comes with heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and automatic climate control. The attractive technology features packed together across the list are flexible cruise control, automatic high-beam headlamps, & pedestrian and cyclist recognition.
2023 Toyota GR Corolla Performance
The Toyota GR Corolla gets a souped-up version of the 1.6-litre 3-cylinder engine. This engine makes more power than the GR Yaris i.e. 300 hp and 370 Nm of torque. It is connected to a 6-speed manual transmission. Toyota’s new GR-Four all-wheel-drive drivetrain has an adjustable torque distribution. While the current Corolla is both fuel-efficient and comfortable, the high-performance GR version is solely focused on performance. It should still provide fairly decent fuel efficiency due to its small engine.
To adapt to the terrain and driving style, the GR Corolla’s all-wheel-drive system can configure to balance front/rear torque 30/70 (off-road), 60/40 (street), or 50/50 (track). Depending on how firmly it’s locked up, a central connection transmits more and more power to the rear end, providing for a manually controlled torque distribution.
The official performance figures aren’t disclosed yet. However, its improved power-to-weight ratio and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S could help it overtake the GR Yaris in terms of performance.
The Toyota GR Corolla is not a GR Sport, but rather a full-fledged GR model. To compete with its rivals, it will get greater power than the GR Yaris. The Core edition will be available in white, supersonic red, and black later this year. The Circuit Edition will be a constrained model that will be offered in white and supersonic red in 2023.
