Maruti Suzuki Next-Gen Celerio (26kmpl)

Maruti will be launching the next-gen Celerio soon. The car will come with a total interior and exterior update. The automaker claims that Celerio will be the Best mileage car in the Indian market. Next-gen Celerio gets a K-series Dual-jet Dual-VVT petrol engine which can be paired to a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. Maruti Celerio is expected to have an efficiency of 26kmpl to 30kmpl.

Fuel efficiency will be one of the USPs of the next-gen Celerio.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire (24.12 kmpl)

Swift Dzire is a popular sedan in India. It is known for its efficiency and tops the list of high mileage sedans in India. Dzire comes with a K12B Dual VVT petrol engine which is mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT transmission. This motor can provide a mileage of 24.12kms per litre.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno (23.87kmpl)

Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Toyota Glanza – Same cars with different badges have good fuel efficiency. The 1.2-litre petrol engine can churn out 90hp and provide a mileage of 23.87kmpl. Being one of the most fuel-efficient hatchbacks in India the cars are also available in a 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates 83hp and provides a mileage of 21 kmpl with manual transmission and 19.56kmpl when paired with CVT.

Renault Kwid (22kmpl)

Renault Kwid is a smart hatchback that comes in two engine options. An 800cc engine that produces 54hp and a 1.0-litre gasoline engine that can produce 68hp. The Kwid can be paired to an AMt transmission and provides a mileage of 22 Kmpl. When mated to manual transmission the 1.0-litre engine delivers 21.74kmpl and the 0.8litre engine provides efficiency of 20.71kmpl.

The Datsun Redigo comes with the same engine options as its cousin the Renault Kwid. The 0.8 litre and the 1.0-litre petrol engines churn out 54hp and 68hp respectively. The engine when mated to a manual transmission provides a mileage of 20.7kmpl for the 0.8 litre motor and 21.7kmpl for the 1.0litre motor. The AMT variant provides a fuel efficiency of 22 kmpl.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios (20.20kmpl)

The Grand i10 Nios is a hatchback from Hyundai. This is a fun hatchback that provides good power and efficiency. The 1.2litre Kappa engine can be paired to a manual or AMT transmission. The Grand i10 Nios has a fuel efficiency of 20.70kmpl. and also comes with an option of a factory-fitted CNG kit.
