The American automobile manufacturer, Ford unveiled their latest model, the new generation Everest. Before Ford left India, the Everest was sold as the Endeavour in the country. The Ford Everest SUV is based on the Ranger pick-up and has a similar design, platform and subsequent elements.

Engine and powertrain options are appealing as it has a 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine, which was taken from the Ford Raptor. It also has a smaller 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine (single turbo and twin-turbo versions). These engines will be connected to a 10-speed automatic gearbox or a 6-speed manual gearbox.
In some select markets, Ford is expected to have a 2.3-litre EcoBoost petrol engine as well. Ford has not revealed the power and torque figures for the engines of this model. The Ford Everest is available in both RWD and AWD layouts according to whichever variant. As of the latest, the Everest is going to be released in markets including the Philippines, Thailand, and Australia.

Exterior and Safety features
The front part of the Ford Everest is very similar to the Ford Ranger pickup. It has new and updated C-shaped LED DRLs with a black strip along the front grille. The Ford Everest also has new and updated tail lamps at the back. This SUV has a 50 mm longer wheelbase and a 50 mm wider track along with short overhangs. This means the Everest is very capable of undergoing rougher terrain.
As of the latest news, the Ford Everest will not be launching in India as they had decided to stop manufacturing in the country’s market. Ford can still make it happen by getting the car to India via the CBU routes. If the Everest does make it into Indian markets, it will be in competition with the Toyota Fortuner and MG Gloster.
