The much-awaited Skoda Slavia sedan is finally launched at a base price of Rs. 10.69 lakh for the ‘Active’ Trim. The fully loaded ‘Style’ trim is priced at Rs. 15.39 lakh. However, we need to note that these prices are for 1.0-litre TSI engine trims. Yes, Skoda has only revealed the prices for its 1.0-litre trims, the 1.5-litre trim prices will be announced on 3rd March. Let’s get into the detailed price list of the newly launched sedan.

The 1.0-litre TSI engine is offered in 3 trims and 6 different variants, of which 2 are automatic variants. The manual transmission base variant or the ‘Active MT’ in this case is priced at Rs. 10.69 lakh. For the automatic transmission trims, there is no ‘Active’ variant, it only has the ‘Ambition’ and ‘Style’ variants.
The Skoda Slavia sedan takes on the segment leader Honda City, Hyundai Verna and the upcoming Volkswagen Virtus. Skoda seems to have placed the Slava right in between them, which could be the right trick here. The Hyundai Verna starts at Rs. 9.32 lakh and the 5th Gen Honda City at Rs. 11.23 lakh.
Engine and Performance
Just like the Skoda Kushaq, the Slavia will also get 2 petrol engine options. Customers can either choose a 1.0-litre TSI or a 1.5-litre TSI engine. The smaller engine pushes 115 hp and gets either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed torque converter. The bigger motor pushes 150 hp and is mated to either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT.

In the front, the Slavia is undeniably a Skoda car. It gets their trademark grille along with Crystalline LED headlights and a familiar rear. You can straight away sense the association with its other siblings such as the Octavia and Superb.
The Slavia’s cabin is new, premium and better than its predecessor, the Rapid. The dual-tone leatherette upholstery, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system and two-spoke steering wheels show its class.
The sedan is equipped with plenty of features. It includes an 8-inch digital driver’s instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless smartphone charger, sunroof, ventilated seats, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and more.
