Aston Martin has unveiled the new flagship SUV DBX 707, based on the DBX line. The Aston Martin DBX 707 is an upgraded high-performance variant of the standard DBX. This new technically upgraded SUV has elevated Aston Martin’s SUV range to the top tier league of performance SUVs like Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne Turbo SE hybrid, and Bentley Bentayga Speed.

It was not a long time ago when SUVs were considered fun vehicles that were made to conquer different terrains and reach anywhere. Today’s new-age SUVs have successfully conquered the tracks which were exclusive to sports and supercars. Aston Martin has brought a few of the meanest and fastest supercars out there and it was long due for the British automaker to show a piece of their power and pace among the new-age SUVs.

The British automaker has its eye on the prestigious Nürburgring lap record. Currently, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT holds the record with a lap timing of 7mins 38.9 seconds. The officials at Aston Martin believe that with better tyre selection they can easily break this record.

Aston Martin DBX 707: What’s new under the hood

The new DBX 707 is the result of a massive overhaul made to the DBX’s Mercedes-AMG-derived twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine. Engineers at Aston martin Tuned the motor to produce an extra 157hp and 200Nm of torque creating a total power outcome of 707hp and 900Nm of peak torque.

Moreover, the SUV now comes with ball-bearing turbochargers and a quick-shifting wet-clutch 9-speed automatic gearbox. Handling and stability are equally important to make quick turns and corners. The 707 guarantees outstanding dynamic ability with its updated air suspension, strengthened limited-slip differential and, a retuned power steering system.

Furthermore, the SUV gets carbon-ceramic brake discs which result in a 40.5 kg weight reduction from the standard model.

The DBX 707 can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 3.3 seconds and achieve a top speed of 310kmph. Which makes the SUV faster than any of its rivals, including the Lamborghini Urus.
