Audi e-tron GT S-version

The Audi e-tron GT is a four-door coupe based on the common features of the Porsche Taycan. There are two versions of e-tron GT around the world: the normal S version and the performance-focused sports version RS. The standard e-tron GT Quattro is equipped with a 238 hp electric motor to drive the front axle and a 435 hp engine on the rear axle. The total output power of both engines is 475 hp and 630 Nm. The top speed is 245 km/h, which can reach 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds.

Interestingly, the e-tron GT uses a 2-speed gearbox for the rear engine. The low-speed ratio first gear is used for acceleration, and the fast second gear is used to improve efficiency and high-speed performance. With the Audi RS e-tron GT, the total output power of the system is increased to 598 horsepower. And 830 Nm of torque is attributed to the more powerful rear electric motor. In boost mode, the output power is increased to 646 horsepower, and the RS e-tron GT can accelerate 0-100 km/h at a maximum speed of 250 km/h in 3.3 seconds. Both versions of e-tron GT use 85 kWh battery power. According to Audi, the standard e-tron GT has a cruising range of 488 kilometers and the RS e-tron GT has a cruising range of 472 kilometers.

INTERIOR & DESIGN

In terms of design, the e-tron GT has a four-door column similar to a coupe, with steep rooflines, a wide wheelbase, wide shoulder lines, and a low hood. E-tron GT also reinterprets Audi’s single-frame grille, with a honeycomb pattern painted with vehicle colors and black piping. Other design details include LED headlights and taillights with stop-and-go animations.

Inside, the e-tron GT has the only infotainment system with a 10.1-inch touch screen and physical buttons for air conditioning; it contrasts sharply with the Audi Sport design with dual touch screens. The center column of the e-tron instrument panel is tilted toward the driver, and a small electronically controlled shift switch is located in the center aisle. Other features include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, connected car technology and a wide variety of driver assistance and safety systems

LAUNCH IN INDIA

Audi e-tron GT is expected to launch the regular S version and RS version in India in October 2021. Audi is expected to set a higher price for the e-tron GT, and the price of a regular model may start from Rs 1.6 crore (ex-showroom). This will allow it to surpass India’s current generation of luxury electric vehicles and compete with the Porsche Taycan, which is expected to arrive in India in 2022.
