BMW announced the launch of the new 530i M Sport “Carbon Edition” in India. The prices start from Rs. 66.3 lakhs (ex-showroom). The new variant is produced locally in India at BMW’s production facility in Chennai. Bookings for The 5 series M sport carbon variant started on Thursday ( October 21, 2021) and can be booked through the company’s official website.
BMW 530i M Carbon Edition: Updated parts and tech
The main highlight of the new 530i M sport carbon edition is its exterior carbon fiber package. BMW has given the ultimate carbon treatment to all the bits and pieces of the 530i. Upgraded carbon fiber parts include- new carbon fibre kidney grille, exterior mirror caps, an all-carbon front splitter, and a carbon fiber spoiler on the rear. The car also gets 18-inch alloy wheels which come in a jet black paint scheme. The carbon edition of the 5 series is only available in alpine white paint shade.
With great power comes great luxury. Just like any other car from BMW the 530i carbon edition’s cabin is packed with features. the car gets a new perforated Sensatec trim in Cognac/Black color combination with contrast stitching. The equipment inside is similar to the current 5 series. The 530i carbon edition comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment system with apple car play and android auto. It also gets powered seats, a fully digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, BMW virtual assistant, remote control parking, reversing assistant, etc.
BMW 530i M Carbon Edition: Engine and transmission
The carbon edition gets its engine from the 530i M Sport variant.
It gets a 2.0 litre, four-cylinder twin-turbo petrol engine that can produce 252hp and 350 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 6.1 seconds. The engine is paired with an 8- speed automatic transmission.
