The next-generation BMW 7 series
BMW 7 series is yet to receive its fifth-generation treatment. We can expect an overall improvement of design, interiors, features and technology. At this point, we don’t have much about the technical specs. All thought we can confirm that the fifth-generation 7 series will feature an ICE, hybrid and an all-electric version. All of which will be offered on the same platform as design.
The i7 will share the same powertrain package as the iX SUV. The battery capacity and motor output might vary. However, the dual-motor set-up will produce 523hp with a top speed of 250kph. The range of about 600 kms could be expected.
Going against the likes of Mercedes EQS luxury EV, the ride comfort of the i7 will be crucial with emphasis on its driving dynamics. i7’s electric drive, battery, power electronics and charging technology will originate from the fifth generation of BMWs eDrive technology.
We don’t have the details of the interiors. However, the i7 is most likely to share a prominent amount of interior tech and features from the iX.
