BMW launched the iX electric SUV in India recently. The all-electric SUV comes with a futuristic monolithic exterior styling and a luxurious interior. The Audi E-Tron is one of the main rivals of the BMW iX. In this article, we will be doing a head-to-head comparison of BMW iX vs AUDI e-Tron.

BMW iX vs AUDI e-Tron: Exterior styling

BMW iX vs Audi e-tronThe BMW iX gets a massive monolithic exterior design. At the front, the car comes with sleek headlamps and LED DRL strips, a large kidney grille, and Two vertical air intake vents on either side of the bumper. 

The Audi E-Tron gets signature Audi styling with a modern and futuristic look. The single-frame front grille comes in a platinum grey color scheme. The car also gets sporty headlamps with LED DRLs. Other exterior styling elements include 20-inch alloy wheels and LED strip tail lamps.

BMW iX vs Audi e-tronInside the cabin, the BMW has given the iX a futuristic and luxurious design styling. The dashboard is covered in leather and a curved 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch infotainment system dominate the dashboard. Also, the car gets sleek airconditioning outlets, pentagonal steering, Crystal gear shifter, I-drive knob, and seat control options, leather seats, USB-c ports, and a panoramic sunroof.

On the other hand, the Audi E-Tron gets a 10.1-inch display system and an 8.8-inch display system for climate control. Other features include a 4-zone climate control function, powered tailgate, power-adjustable steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, and leather upholstery. 


The iX has received a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating. Safety features in the BEV are, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ABS with brake assist, multiple airbags, stability control (DSC), cruise control with braking function, and driver-assist features such as blind-spot detection lane change warning with active return, and front collision warning. 

Talking about safety, the Audi E- Tron comes with 8 airbags, illuminating seatbelts for easy use, external sound alerts to alert pedestrians, pre-sense basic prevention for emergency brakes or handling the limit. 


The BMW iX dual-motor drivetrain with motors attached to the front and rear axle of the vehicle. Moreover, the motors can generate a power output of 326hp and 630Nm of peak torque. 

The BMW iX xDrive 40 gets a 76.6kWh battery pack. The xDrive 40 delivers a range output of approximately 425km. BMW claims that BMW iX can accelerate from 0-100 in just 6.1 seconds

The Audi e-Tron also gets electric motors on both axles. The motors can generate a power output of 313hp and 540Nm of peak torque. The car can sprint from 0-100kph in 6.8 sec. However, the Audi e-Tron 55 and e-Tron Sportback 55, gets a dual-motor setup and a 95kWh battery. It can generate a power output of 408hp and 664Nm. Moreover, these variants can accelerate from 0-100kph in just 5.7 sec. 

Both BMW ix and Audi e-Tron are brilliant vehicles from two great German automakers. Both the vehicles are capable of generating massive power outputs and providing the customers with luxurious interiors. The BMW iX is priced at ₹1.16 crore while the Audi e-tron is priced at ₹1.18 Crore.
