Soon after the recent unveiling of the X3 variant in India, BMW is gearing up the game for the arrival of the facelifted X4. A highly awaited launch of the year, the facelift of the BMW X4 is expected to be exposed during the first week of March. It comes along with a dual option of both diesel and petrol powertrains.
BMW X4: Power & Performance
The BMW X4 is expected to be fueled by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that initiates 252 bhp and delivers 350 Nm of torque. A 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbocharged diesel motor that is able to produce 265 bhp and 620 Nm of torque is also available. Both of these engines will be linked to the 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission.
The performance of the SUV is pretty good for what it weighs. The petrol engine takes 6.3 seconds to hit 100 kmph from a standstill while the diesel engine takes just 6.0 seconds. Thanks to the BMW xDrive all-wheel-drive system and quick-shifting 8-speed ZF gearbox.
BMW X4: Exterior
The third generation facelift, initiated in June 2021, was accompanied by minor changes to the X4 in terms of exterior. Firstly, there are the latest and more effective headlamps, merged kidney grille, remodified bumpers, and thinner rear lights. This results in the X4 looking more dashing and sportier than the X3.
BMW X4: Interior
Coming to the interiors, the X4 draws great similarity to the recently facelifted X3. The X4 features a luxurious cabin. It is also possible that the X4 will receive an upgraded 12.3-inch digital driver display and infotainment touchscreen with a panoramic sunroof, tri-zone automatic climate control, six shades of ambient lighting, and a head-up display. It is anticipated to launch in a number of interior colours, with either Sensatec or Vernasca upholstery.
After its launch, the new BMW X4 is hopeful to challenge the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe in India. The X4 has several appealing traits and it will be a well sought after car after its launch.
