The bookings for the 2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 have started yesterday in the Nexa showrooms. This model can be pre-booked at an initial amount of Rs. 11,000/- from their official website or the Nexa dealerships across India. The car is said to be an array of comfort and convenience with many new features and such and is a very important launch in Maruti’s lineup for 2022.

Engine and transmission

The new XL6 will get a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This is similar to the one in the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The fuel economy is likely to be better than the standard model. Along with the new gearbox, Maruti’s Dualjet technology is also present which is seen in the new Celerio, Swift and the Baleno.

One of the major updates under the hood is a new K15C 1.5-litre Dualjet petrol engine which can generate a maximum power of 115 hp. It makes slightly more power than the outgoing K15B 1.5-litre engine.

Interior and tech

The cabin of the XL6 is expected to have new upholstery and small updates to it as well. It will have a new 7-inch infotainment system interface which is very similar to Baleno’s. This infotainment system will also have Maruti Suzuki’s Connect technology. A teaser video of the car was released a while back, this confirmed that the car will not be having a sunroof.

Other features of its interior include automatic climate control, keyless entry, a start/stop button and a multi-functional steering wheel. Safety features of the car will include a rearview camera, multiple airbags, cruise control and more.

2022 Maruti XL6: Exterior

The outside of the model is not expected to get any major changes or styling tweaks. Although, the XL6 will be having bigger, dual-tone alloy wheels which are similar to the one in the Suzuki XL7 in Indonesia. Other exterior features include a revised chrome grille at the front, LED headlamps with DRLs, L-shaped tail lamps, a rear window wiper and a sculpted hood too. The side will have sharp body lines, B-pillars and indicator-mounted ORVMs as well.

The prices for the new XL6 are yet to be revealed and will only be announced by April 21st, 2022. The bookings for the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga have also opened for this year. The model is scheduled to be launched this month in the market.
