Bugatti has commenced delivering their famous hypercar, the Chiron Super Sport. Don’t get confused with the Chiron Super Sport 300+ model which is related but the not same car. Introduced in 2021, only 9 of the Chiron Super Sports will be ever built. Bugatti has showcased the first car out of the 9. It has a special bespoke styling by Bugatti’s Sur Mesure. It is a special program introduced by Bugatti to get the exact customization a customer demands. So what’s so special about the customized new Chiron? Let’s find out.

Bugatti Chiron Super Sports: Engine and performance

Bugatti’s 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine powers the Chiron Super Sport. The engine in this car makes a massive 1,580 hp and 1,600 Nm of torque. This is the same as the Chiron Super Sport 300+ figures but its top speed is limited to 273 mph (440 kmph). It is faster than the regular Chiron but not as fast as the Sport 300+. It drives all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Bugatti Chiron Super SportThe hypercar is undoubtedly fast! Wondering about its 0-100 time? Well, it can go from 0-200 kmph in under 6 seconds. Yes, the SuperSport can reach 200 kmph in 5.8 seconds, and 300 kmph in just 12.1 sec

Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Design

The Chiron Super Sport is derived from its sibling the Super Sport 300+. They share a lot in common. It has the same revolutionary aerodynamic bodywork as the sibling. Unlike the high-performance model, the Super Sport does have a paint finish instead of the bare carbon fibre finish (for weight reduction). The dimensions are a little different, it is 25 cm longer comparatively. And some parts are redone for better aero efficiency.

The interior is entirely different from the 300+. The black carbon fibre inspired cabin is redesigned with a ton of leather used all over. The interior framework is not as stiff as in the 300+.

Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Bespoke

Bugatti Chiron Super Sport bespokeBugatti’s new division, Sur Mesure has collaborated with a customer to bring out an extraordinary piece of art on the Chiron Super Sport. The one-of-a-kind paintwork is named the “Vagues de Lumière”. The complex hand-painted pattern on the car is inspired by the way light reflects off the surface of the Chiron’s curved panels. On the inside, it gets the same orange colour finish you see on the body and wheel rims.

The brand seems very excited and happy about the new bespoke program. The President of Bugatti Automobiles stated “It’s extremely exciting to be witnessing the first customer units of the Chiron Super Sport come together with our Atelier. Hearing brand new 8.0-litre W16 engines fire up for the first time, knowing that they are soon to become a centrepiece of our customers’ collections across the globe is a personal highlight.”
