Tata is having the best year in terms of sales. Not only they’re closing towards Hyundai in the sales chart, but their Nexon SUV has topped another list. It’s on the top of the list of top-selling Compact SUVs in March 2022. In fact, the Nexon is also first on the top-selling SUV list as well. The Nexon has a commendable lead of 1,876 units compared to the Brezza in the second spot. Here are the complete details of the compact SUV sales list in March 2022.

Tata Nexon is on top with a YoY growth of a healthy 64%. This is a consecutive month where Nexon has topped the charts. Compared to the 12,249 units sold in February 2022, Nexon has gathered better sales last month. The Maruti Brezza has jumped up a position compared to Feb 2022. It sold 12,439 units which is a 34.3% MoM growth compared to 9,256 units in Feb 2022. This has helped it push down the Venue to the third spot. 

What can be called the Korean siblings, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet have secured 3rd and 4th spots on the list. Both SUVs have negative YoY growth but the Sonet has a positive MoM growth. Sonet has improved around 11% to keep its 4th spot. The Mahindra XUV300 in the 5th spot has an amazing YoY growth. With 4,140 units last month compared to the 2,587 units in March 2021, the total YoY growth is 60%. 

Even though Mahindra Thar has a 103.6% YoY growth it has dropped down a position with a decline of -23.24% MoM growth. A total of 5,072 units of Thar were sold in Feb 2022 compared to the 3,893 units in March 2022. Toyota Urban Cruiser in the 7th position has had a good MoM growth. Going up from 2,387 units in Feb 2022 to 3,079 units in March 2022 has around 29% of growth. 

Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger have interchanged their position compared to Feb 2022. Both cars have seen a positive MoM growth but Magnite’s 42.88% has pushed it to the 8th spot and Kiger to the 9th. Honda’s compact SUV is not having a great time. The WR-V sales are slowly falling down. Selling 489 units in Feb 2022, and March 2022 is even more worst with just 251 units. This is a massive MoM decline of -48.67% and a YoY decline of -74.33%.
