On September 15, 2021, Force Motors will finally unveil the new Gurkha. The tough off-roader will have a variety of visual upgrades and will be more feature-rich than before in its new guise.

The Force Motors – Gurkha

The redesigned Gurkha was unveiled by Force Motors at the Auto Expo 2020. But we’ve been waiting for the firm to launch the SUV in India since then. The new Gurkha was supposed to be released in the United States by the end of 2020, but the COVID-19 epidemic threw a wrench in the works, delaying the debut. On the other hand, the car is finally set to be introduced in India and might be available for purchase very soon. The 2021 Gurkha will be unveiled next week on September 15th, and we expect prices to be published later that month.

Surprisingly, the Gurkha on display at Auto Expo 2020 appeared to be extremely similar to the production model, indicating that we have a good notion of what alterations will be made in the next generation. It will feature the same silhouette as the previous model, but with a new grille, front bumper, taillights that have been significantly changed, and LED DRLs. Flared wheel arches, side panelling, and mud-terrain tyres emphasise the offroading attitude.

Features

The internal layout of the new Gurkha will be different but still practical. The SUV, on the other hand, will have a few more features than the previous model, which was simply a stripped-down version. A touchscreen, updated instrument panel, AC, front power windows, dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, reverse parking sensors, and other features will be available in the 2021 Force Gurkha.

The SUV will be powered by a Mercedes-sourced 2.6-litre diesel engine that produces 89 horsepower and 260 Nm of peak torque. Only a five-speed manual transmission will be available with this engine. A 4X4 drivetrain, a transfer case with three modes — 4X2 High, 4X4 High, or 4X4 Low — and differential locking for the front and rear axles will be included in the new Gurkha.
