Honda Cars also announced the enhanced variant of the Next-Gen Honda Connect by introducing the Honda Action on the Google platform. The feature is an extended and integrated Connected technology that is offered in the 5th Gen Honda City which comes with Alexa.
With Honda being introduced in Google, the 5th Gen City now functions with Ok Google. The Honda Connect platform has also been enriched with HCIL, which offers 4 new functionalities with all the 36 features delivering increased safety, satisfaction and comfort to customers. - Honda Alexa:
One of the main connectivity features on the New-Gen car is the remote capability, which happens to be the first in the segment. Using Alexa, users can have access to a range of car connected features that are activated via voice commands.
This is specially designed for having a smooth and seamless drive for new Honda buyers. Talking about safety, the new City offers features like live location, geofence alert, auto crash notification, stolen vehicle tracking system, and unauthorised access alert. Coming to the convenience features, the new City is equipped with ‘Find My Car’ that helps you track down your car in a parking lot. Users can ask Alexa the location of their car and the car’s headlights and tail lights blink along with the horn sound, adding to the ease of finding the car. - Honda Action on Google:
The Honda Action on Google will be offering 10 voice-activated features that can be carried out by Google assist devices like Android phones, Google Nest Speakers, etc.
This action can also be carried out on iOS devices. These 10 features can also be sued as text commands. By using Honda Connect, users can access different functions such as setting temperature, switching on/off A/C, boot opening, etc. Users can also get access to important information like odometer reading, fuel status, parking brake status, seat belt status, battery health, etc. Other additional features include car location that can be shared with friends and family, a trip diary to maintain the moments of the journey and can also be shared on social media platforms.
Honda Connect is mainly designed to give a complete service and provide convenience to users. This newly added technology will bring in competition among the segment and will continue to rival cars like Maruti Ciaz and Hyundai Verna.
