Hyundai Alcazar Revealed

Hyundai has finally revealed the much-hyped 6-7 seater SUV, the Alcazar. The 7-seater is placed between the Creta and Tuscon in its lineup. The Alcazar is going up against the Tata Safari, MG Hector plus and the next-gen Mahindra XUV500 which is yet to be launched. We now have more details of the car which sounds interesting, so let’s dive in.

Hyundai Alcazar Design:

The Alcazar gets the signature cascading Grille in the front with its split headlights which offer LED lights. The rich wheel arch volume gives it a bold and strong image with its diamond-cut 18inch Alloys. The rear gets an iconic taillamp which is sleek and slim.

Hyundai Alcazar’s Interior

The inside look very spacious with its innovative design. You get storage space all around the car, bottle holders on all doors, a huge glovebox and an armrest with storage for the first row. Interestingly the 6 seat layout Alcazar gets a cupholder with armrest storage, a backseat tray and a mobile holder with net pockets, place for your laptops and other valuables in the 2nd row. The third row also gets an armrest with cup holders on either side. All three rows get their dedicated AC vents as well.

Alcazar’s Dimensions

The width and height of the car are similar to the Creta, but it gets an extra 150mm of wheelbase. This gives a longer overhang at the back which helps it accommodate the third row. The remarkable extra dimension makes it spacious and also it is well optimized for better third-row ride comfort and better control in city conditions and vehicle stability. The Alcazar is offered in a 6 or 7 seat layout.

Seat features

The 6 seat layout gets the captain seats for the 2nd row which gets one-touch fold operation for easy access to the third row. It offers 180L of boot space and the 50:50 split of the third row helps it improve space when necessary.

Engine Options

Unlike the Creta, Alcazar is equipped with the 3rd generation nu 2.0L turbo petrol engine which gives 160Bhp and 191Nm of torque.

Petrol Engine

The diesel motor is the same 1.5L VGT engine in the Creta which churns out 115bhp and 250Nm of torque.
