Hyundai recently revealed its new SUV, the Alcazar. The Alcazar, inspired by its smaller SUV version, the Creta, will compete in the fast-growing SUV segment and MG Hector Plus, which happens to be one of its rivals. MG Hector Plus also being similar to its smaller version inspired by its previous 5 seat variant. Both offer manual and automatic transmissions and both have equally good torque. But the MG Hector Plus does have a more powerful engine compared to Hyundai Alcazar.

This extravagant vehicle offers auto-dimming IRVM, 18-inch alloy wheels, wireless charging, Thermo pressed chrome grille, dual interior tones, updated i-Smart with voice commands, and much more. The car also comes with an alarm system for critical tyre pressure levels. The SUV commands are designed to ‘Hinglish’ which is a benefit to the citizens of India, to command voiceovers, for instance, opening the sunroof, turning on the radio, and more. There is also wifi connectivity, weather forecasting, and smart device connection to i-Smart in the car. The Hector also comes with a hand-gesture activated boot lid in case both your hands are full.
The Alcazar has a chrome finish and will get solid bold wheel arches and lines. It will also be getting 18-inch alloys, a faux skid plate, and revamped headlight features, all from what we know. The Alcazar also comes in with easy ingress and egress, which are factory-fitted side steps. The rear end is a lot wider than the previous variant and has a longer wheelbase.
Both the SUVs have similar 6-7 seating counterparts wherein Alcazar is the first variant in its segment to offer a centre console and armrests between middle-row captain seats and tip and tumble split seats as well. Alcazar’s unique voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof, blind view mirror, and auto healthy air purifier are some of the exciting features in this new variant.
Apart from these, common features in both vehicles include a touchscreen infotainment system compatible with smart devices like mobile phones and smartwatches, auto climate control, a powered driver’s seat, sunroof, wireless charging, and more. Rumour has it that Alcazar may get an all-digital instrument cluster while MG Hector Plus will have analogue dials.
The Hyundai Alcazar comes with SmartSense as called in the International Market also known as the ADAS which is similarly found in MG Gloster. Features like Automatic Emergency braking, driver attention warning, blind-spot collision assist, smart cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, and more are expected in the new Hyundai variant.
The MG Hector Plus as well comes with safety features like Electronic Stability Programme(ESP), sensors for front and rear-side parking, ABS with EBD and brake assist, dual airbags, traction control, and much more.
