Hyundai is planning on launching a new Micro-SUV AX1 in the international markets in the coming months. Some teaser images are already available online and are set to make their debut in the South Korean market and follow suit in the international market.

Dimensions and size:

The Hyundai company’s official dimensions and sizes are yet to be revealed, but by the Hyundai company, the AX1 is expected to measure around 3.7-3.8 meters, making it considerably smaller than the venue. The AX1 is reportedly based on the Hyundai K1 platform which is also used by Hyundai Santro and Grand i10 Nios.

The AX1 has a quirky exterior to make it more appealing to the younger generations. It has an upright and boxy body shell with rounded-off edges, a large glasshouse, a flat bonnet, and a split-headlight design. The headlamps will be a circular projector unit, with an LED DRL ring set. Coming to the backside the AX1 is expected to have a split-light cluster, with the reverse light and indicators placed on the secondary bumper.

Features:

The AX1 is expected to come loaded with features like the rest of the Hyundai cars 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a cooled glovebox, power-folding mirrors, a rear-view camera, keyless entry and go, wireless charging, and many more latest features.

Engine:

The AX1 will probably be equipped with 1.2-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine or the 1.1-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine

The AX1 is expected to come only in petrol options and does not have a diesel variant.

Competition:

The Hyundai AX1 will rival cars like the upcoming  Tata HBX, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, and the Mahindra KUV100.
