Hyundai’s latest facelifted version of the Hyundai Creta is supposed to be hitting the Indian markets this year. In the latest news, Hyundai has launched the Knight Edition variant of the Creta SUV. This edition will be based on the S+ and the SX(O) variants, with cosmetic upgrades on the exterior and interior as well. The price for this model starts at Rs. 13.35 lakh and varies accordingly.
Hyundai Creta Knight Edition: Exterior
As the moniker suggests, the Creta Knight Edition gets a blacked-out exterior. Upfront, the grille gets a gloss finish with red inserts. Other elements such as front and rear skid plates, door handles, roof rails, OVRMs, and side sills also get a blackened treatment. The boot lid of the Creta SUV has a special Knight Edition emblem along with red brake callipers at the front. The Hyundai logo gets a dark chrome finish, both at the front and rear.
Engine and Power
The 1.5-litre petrol engine of the Creta will now come with a 6-speed iMT gearbox. Only the mid-spec S trim gets this option. Prices are yet to be announced. For both the S+ and the SX(O) Knight Edition variants, the Hyundai Creta’s powertrain runs on a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine. Both will be available in manual and automatic transmission options. The former engine can be paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
The 1.5-litre NA engine can produce a maximum power of 115 hp with a peak torque of 144 Nm. Whereas, the 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine can deliver a maximum power of 115hp and 250 Nm of torque.
Hyundai Creta Knight Edition: Interior and Tech
The inside of the SUV exhibits a majorly black theme with red contrasting colour in the seat stitching. The model has coloured red inserts on its steering wheel and the AC vents as well.
The interior features of the car include many such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity, automatic climate control, push-button start, ventilated front seats, and wireless charging.
Creta Lineup Shuffle
The Creta lineup is going through a variant reshuffle as well. The new S+ variant will now have the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine which generates a power of 140 hp. Initially, this engine was only available on the top trims such as the SX and SX(O). Engines like the 1.4-litre turbo DCT SX and the 1.5-litre diesel AT SX variants have also been discontinued.
