Hyundai Creta SX Executive Variant Launched At Rs. 13.18 Lakhs

Hyundai Creta SX Executive Launched

Hyundai Creta has been the best selling Compact SUV at present, topping the charts with 7,527 units sold in May 2021. Now, Hyundai has decided to add another variant called the Creta SX Executive which will be positioned below the SX variant. The new variant will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine options.

The petrol engine is the 1.5L 4-cylinder naturally aspirated MPI engine which makes 115bhp and 145nm of torque. It is offered in a 6-speed manual transmission as standard or a CVT automatic transmission. The diesel counterpart is the 1.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged CRDI engine making 115bhp of power and 250nm of torque. Like the petrol engine, it gets the same 6-speed manual transmission but a 6-speed torque converter automatic instead.

The Creta petrol SX executive trim is priced at Rs. 13.18 lakh ex-showroom, which is Rs. 78,000/- cheaper than the SX trim and Rs. 1,00,000/- more than the S trim. The Creta diesel SX executive trim is priced at Rs. 14.18 lakh ex-showroom, making this the same Rs. 78,000/- cheaper than the SX trim and Rs. 1,00,000/- cheaper than S trim. Both the prices are for the SX executive 6-speed manual transmission.

What is missing in the SX executive trim?

The SX executive trim is offered with features like the rearview camera, USB port, Bluetooth mic, shark fin antenna, steering mounted audio controls, body-coloured door handles and day/night IRVM. To compensate for the price Hyundai has removed some of the features from the SX executive trim, the main feature removed will be the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Other deleted features are the Arkamys high-end audio setup, burglar alarm, Bluetooth internet connectivity and voice recognition.

Hyundai Creta has been doing well as far as sales are concerned. With the addition of new trims, it might attract a few more customers. The Creta will rival the Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the upcoming Skoda Kushaq and the Volkswagen Taigun. Hyundai has introduced the all-new Creta based 7-seater SUV called the Alcazar which starts from Rs. 16.3 lakh ex-showroom.
