The Hyundai Venue facelift will be launched in India this year. The launch will happen before the Creta facelift. The road tests for the 2022 Hyundai Venue began recently near the carmaker’s plant in Chennai. Let’s see what’s in store for this compact SUV.
The new Hyundai Venue facelift
The new Venue has an updated Headlight design. The changes in the new Venue, include the front grille, rear light and the aluminium design. It will also have a revised front bumper, fog lamp assembly and rear bumper. The projector headlamps with LED DRLs will remain the same as the base model.
The side profile of the car will stay the same. However, it will come with a new boot lid and fresh split LED tail lamps.
There is not much clarity on the interiors as of yet, but it will have a leather-wrapped steering wheel with telescopic measures. It also has steering wheel controls for its multi-information display unit which also has Bluetooth, Bluelink, Android Auto, and Apple Carplay. There are no images of the vehicle’s facelifted cabin. It is unsure as to how much Hyundai has revised the interior.
The onboard equipment will include a centre console with armrests, two cup holders, and automatic climate control. It will also have a large sunroof with a one-touch operation. It also contains air conditioning at the back with comfortable seats.
The safety features include 6 airbags, vehicle stability management, hill start assist, and a tire pressure monitoring system. It also has electronic stability control and parking sensors with a rearview camera.
2022 Hyundai Venue Engine
Things under the bonnet are likely to remain unchanged. The current 1.0-litre turbo-petrol with 120 PS and 172 Nm, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol with 83 PS and 114 Nm, and a 1.5-litre diesel with 100 PS and 240 Nm engine options and several gearbox choices should stay the same.
[table id=110 /]To be launched later this year, the SUV will continue to rival the likes of the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite, and the Mahindra XUV300.
