Japanese carmaker Isuzu has launched the 2021 MU-X and D Max Hi-lander at INR 32.23 and INR 16.98 lakhs respectively. This is a re-introduction of both the models as they were discontinued in 2020. Take a look at BS6 range of 2021 Isuzu DMax VCross, Hi-Lander and the all-new MUX.

2021 D-Max

The D-Max is available in three variants: Hi-lander, V-cross Z, V-cross Z prestige. D-max has launched these versions in compliance with the BS6 standards. The updated D-Max packs more power than its predecessor.

The V-cross variants of the D-Max get a 4WD system with a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options.

D-Max Hi-lander

The base model of the D-max comes with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX anchors as basic. It is fitted with 16-inch wheels. A digital MID is now introduced which is placed between the analog dials. It also provides USB ports in the front and rear of the vehicle for rider comfort.

2021 Isuzu D-Max V-Cross

Launched at INR 19.98 lakhs, it is equipped with LED projection lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, a 7.0-inch entertainment touch screen. keyless entry and go, steering mounted controls, rear parking camera, and many more customer-friendly features. The V-cross Z prestige version has additional features such as side and curtain airbags, ESC, Traction Control, and auto cruise control.

D-Max MU-X

The 2021 MU-X has almost all the same features and engine as its predecessor except it now follows the BS6 norms. It has a 1.9-liter diesel engine and produces a horsepower of 163hp. The 4X2 variant is priced at INR 33.23 lakhs and the 4X4 variant at INR 35.19 lakhs. It is equipped with six airbags, rear parking sensors, a rear camera, LED headlights, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, powered split-folding second, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and cruise control. It is a three-row SUV.

The Isuzu MU-X will compete against Toyota Fortuner and Legender, Ford Endeavour, MG Gloster, all of which are packed with features and sophisticated gadgets. Will MU-X be able to outcompete them is something only time will tell.
