The Lamborghini Urus is one of the company’s best-selling models, particularly in India. The SUV sports car is especially popular among celebrities, and it is the only SUV offered by Lamborghini, an Italian premium sports car manufacturer. The high-performance SUV, which has been on sale in India since 2018, is a popular choice among those willing to spend more than three crore rupees. This is why Lamborghini has sold over 100 Lamborghini Urus models in India, with many of them going to celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Rohit Shetty, Puneeth Rajkumar, and some others.
In order to avoid the three-month wait for the Lamborghini Urus in India, Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan reportedly paid a staggering Rs 50 lakh to have the model flown in directly from Italy. According to the report, the SUV is in high demand all over the world, which is why Kartik Aryan paid the extra money to skip the line.
Lamborghini Urus Specs
The SUV, which is powered by a massive 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine, is one of the world’s fastest SUVs, reaching a top speed of 305 km/h and completing the 0-100 km/h sprint in just 3.6 seconds. The vehicle has a maximum power output of 441 bhp and a peak torque output of 850 Nm, as well as an all-wheel-drive system and an automatic transmission.
Interior and Cargo
Inside, passengers will find a dramatic cabin that is reminiscent of a Lambo. The start button is hidden beneath a red flip cover, and the shifter resembles a jet’s throttle. The drive modes and customizable performance settings are controlled by levers to the left of the shifter. The faux-suede and carbon fibre trim are plentiful, and the infotainment system and reconfigurable gauges are straight out of an Audi. The back seat has plenty of legroom and can accommodate two to three people depending on the seating configuration. Useful door pockets and a bin behind the floating centre stack highlight the interior cubby storage.
Connectivity and Infotainment
There are two touchscreens built into the centre stack that include controls for the climate system, audio, and more, in addition to a fully digital gauge cluster. Although the screens have sharp graphics and large icons, they lack the intuitiveness of traditional knobs and buttons.
The Anima Selector serves as the vehicle’s brain, allowing the driver to choose from a variety of driving options. STRADA (for easy driving, comfort, and safety), SPORT (for agility, responsiveness, and drivability), and CORSA (for agility, responsiveness, and drivability) are the three on-road driving modes available in the Urus (for precision and maximum performance). NEVE (for a simple and safe drive on slick surfaces), TERRA (for increased comfort in off-road conditions), and SABBIA (for increased comfort in off-road conditions) are the three off-road driving modes added to this car (to use for sandy surfaces). For the driver’s convenience and needs, an additional customizable EGO mode is provided.
Lamborghini has equipped Urus with an advanced Bang & Olufsen sound system with cutting-edge 3D sound technology, which produces best-in-class sound when combined with all 21 loudspeakers and 1,700-watt power output.
