Kia India recently revealed that it has been the fastest brand in the Indian automobile market to reach the three lakh sales mark. The brand passed the one lakh mark for the first time in July 2020, the second in January 2021, and the third in August 2021. Kia India is notable for selling the first one lakh units in a year and the last two lakhs in the same time frame.
Seltos, Kia India’s flagship product, continues to be the most profitable, accounting for 66 percent of sales, while Sonet contributed 32 percent. The Carnival, the brand’s premium model, sold 7,310 units.

Kia also built a strong network across the country over time. The brand plans to increase its reach from 300 to 360 touchpoints, encompassing 90% of the Indian market, including Tier III, IV, and upcountry areas.
Kia has launched a series of industry-first customer-centric initiatives in line with its recent brand revamp. Since the beginning of its sales activity, the brand has provided an end-to-end digital sales procedure to its clients.
Kia’s manufacturing facility in Anantapur produced the 3,00,000th car, the Seltos. Kia has invested about USD 2 billion in the last two years, including the vendor park built near the facility. The Anantapur plant is Kia’s most modern manufacturing facility, including over 450 robots and Artificial Intelligence, as well as environmentally friendly procedures like 100% water recycling.
