Kia recently announced that they have a total domestic sales tally of 22,622 units in March 2022. The YoY growth for Kia sales is 18.44%. Despite having a recent start in the Indian market, Kia has already reached a production milestone of 5 lakh units at the Anantapur plant. This includes domestic sales of about 4 lakh and 1,00,000 in exports. The export operations for Kia are currently carried out in 91 countries including the Middle East, Africa, Central America, Mexico and more.
The third shift at the Anantapur facility in Andhra Pradesh began a while ago to shorten waiting periods and to cater to the high demand for cars. The Kia Carens already had reservations that crossed a total of 50,000 and it had a total dispatch count of 12,117 units in the span of a month.
Kia Sales for March 2022
The total sales for Kia this month are reportedly one of the best monthly sales. Sales are having a positive growth from 19,100 units in March 2021 to 22,622 units in March 2022. There is a volume gain of 3,522 units and an 18.44% growth in YoY sales. The midsize Seltos SUV was the best seller for the South Korean automaker with a sales volume of 8,415 units. Kia’s latest launch, the Carens also saw a good number of 7,008 units in sales. The sales for the Sonet stood at 6,871 whereas 328 units of the Carnival were also sold.[table id=121 /]

Besides the fact that Kia India has a high number of YoY sales this year, the brand has also recorded its highest-ever quarterly sales this year too. Kia had a total sales of 60,602 units in the previous quarter, recording 9.5% quarterly YoY growth. If Kia portrays a strong sales front then the brand will feature in the top 5 best selling car brands in the country.
