Mahindra Sees Growth in March 2022 Sales

One of India’s leading companies in automotive is Mahindra and Mahindra Limited. Mahindra just recently disclosed the overall sales of its automobiles for the month of March this year. The sales for March 2022 stood at 54,643 vehicles for Mahindra and Mahindra. The company sold around 40,403 units of vehicles for the month of March in 2021. This shows that there was a growth of more than 35% for Year on Year sales.  

Veejay Neekra, the Chief Executive Officer of the automotive division at M&M Ltd said that “We continued our growth trajectory in March 2022 with overall sales of 54,643 vehicles, a growth of 35%. Demand continues to be strong, even as we remain watchful of the global supply chain and take appropriate action, as required. We are delighted with the success of XUV700, as it continues its winning streak, becoming the most awarded ‘Car of the Year’ in 2022. Cumulatively, XUV700 has won more than 30 awards across categories including the coveted Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY 2022).”

Mahindra March 2022 sales

Mahindra sold around 27,380 vehicles in the Utility Vehicles (UVs) segment during the month of March this year. They sold 27,603 vehicles for the Passenger Vehicles segment including UVs, cars and vans as well. The total exports for March were 3,160 vehicles as a whole. The combined sales of Cars and Vans had a total of 223 units sold for the month of March. Although, the number of vehicles sold in March of 2021 was only 57 units.

On the other hand, Mahindra sold a total of 19,837 vehicles this year for March in the Commercial Vehicles segment. In comparison with the previous year, there is a growth of 16% in this segment. The Light Commercial Vehicle segments of 3.5 tonne and Heavy Commercial vehicles kept a positive growth trajectory in comparison with March, the previous year.

The market sales for Mahindra in most of the different segments have been positive in comparison with last year. The only sector which had a fall was the Three-wheeler sales sector in comparison to last year’s YoY sales numbers. A total of 4,043 units were retailed across the country.

The overall YoY sales for Mahindra and Mahindra have definitely been on the rise. Many new launches for the company helped the brand in making a name in the Indian market.
