The Mahindra Scorpio 2022 SUV has been spotted testing on the Indian roads several times. We are quite familiar with the exterior styling of the upcoming SUV from the homegrown manufacturer. Newly released spy shots reveal the interior styling and features of the 2022 Scorpio. Let’s take a look at what the upcoming SUV holds for us.
Mahindra Scorpio 2022 Exterior Styling
Mahindra’s 2022 Scorpio will get a bold and boxy exterior styling. Although it sounds pretty much like its predecessor, the new model comes with advanced styling and elements. The new Scorpio will come with a new chrome grille with the brand’s new ‘Twin Peaks’ logo, LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, LED fog lamps, roof rails, and a rear spoiler. Moreover, the windows have a slight upward slope and the taillamps are now taller.

Mahindra has provided a premium feel to the new Scorpio’s interior. Inside the cabin, the new Scorpio comes with updated interiors and tech features. The dashboard of the test mule was black and it houses a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The infotainment system supports Android Auto and Apple car play connectivity. In fact, the new Scorpio gets the same Sony sound system seen in the XUV700.
Other features inside the 2022 Scorpio are an updated center console, vertical AC vents, and A knob shifter to select off-road riding modes. The SUV will also come with a low-range gearbox to enhance the off-road driving experience. Furthermore, safety features in the new SUV include-multiple airbags, parking sensors, 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, and electronic stability control.
The name Scorpio reminds us of Power and agility. Under the hood, the new Scorpio will feature the same 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 2-litre turbo-petrol seen in the XUV 700. A 6-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive will be standard across all variants. However, High-end variants will get 4WD and Automatic transmission as optional.
Mahindra will launch the new Scorpio in the first half of 2022. The prices for the new SUV will start from 10 lakhs.
