The all-new Mahindra XUV700 SUV was unveiled to the public on the 14th of August. Initially. the XUV700 price for the base variant was revealed which was Rs. 11.99 lakh. The SUV is just a few days away from being launched and the complete list of variants and price has been leaked.
Mahindra will launch the XUV700 on the 7th of October, right before the festive season. But interested customers will be able to test drive the car ahead of the launch from the 2nd of October. The SUV will be rolled out in four different variants: MX, AX3, AX5 and AX7. All variants will vary depending on the customers choice of engine, transmission, drive and seat configuration.
XUV700 Price and variants
The XUV700 is available in both petrol and diesel engines along 5 or 7 seating configurations. According to the leaked list, the SUV has 16 different variants for the 7-seater and 13 different variants for the 5-seater configuration.

The basic trim of the XUV700 5-seater, MX manual transmission Petrol starts at ₹ 11.99 lakh and goes up to ₹ 19.49 lakh for the AX5 (O) automatic transmission diesel. The XUV700 7-seater MX manual transmission petrol variant starts at ₹ 12.69 lakh and goes all the way up to ₹ 21.69 lakh for the top trim, AX7 automatic transmission petrol AWD version.
Dimension and engine
The Mahindra XUV700 measure 4,695mm in length, 1,755mm in height, 1,890mm in width with a wheelbase of 2,750mm.
The SUV gets the new mHawk 2.0-Litre turbo diesel engine in two different tunes. It makes either 155PS and 360Nm of torque or 185PS and 420Nm of torque. The mStallion 2.0-Litre turbo petrol engine is capable of making 200PS and 380Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Competition
Mahindra XUV700 will be the first in the segment to feature Level-1 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). It includes Adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, rear parking sensor and camera, auto high beam assist. The XUV700 will go against the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and the MG Hector Plus.
Mahindra is also prepping to launch the next-generation Mahindra Scorpio, it was spotted testing on-road which is scheduled to come next year.
