Mahindra has been testing the camouflaged XUV700 for quite some time now. But now we have some digitally visualized pics of the car. Like we know the XUV700 will replace the present XUV500 7-seater in the lineup. There are works going on with the XUV500 which will come out as a 5-seater. When launches, the XUV700 will be the flagship SUV of Mahindra’s line up.
Before its launch in the third quarter of FY2021, the company has listed the XUV700 on their website. The car is based on the companies new global modular platform. The car looks bigger and sharper than the current XUV500. The renders are based on the spy pics posted on the internet.
Mahindra XUV700 Exterior
The renders show that the car retains its original profile, but gets new design elements all around. The front of the car features 6 slat grille which is bold and new. The company badge is placed above the grille with a huge chrome strip. The new angular headlamps get a unique boomerang-shaped DRL that runs all the way from the headlight to the vehicle’s bumper.
On the side, the first thing you notice is the huge windows which ensure the cabin is well lit. The design lines from the fender to the rear tail lamp with its dual-tone alloys give it an aggressive stance. The flush-type door handles give it a modern touch. The split tri arrow-like taillamps on the rear are separated by a thick black stripe. The roof-mounted spoiler and the high mounted tail lamp stands out among the rivals and looks sporty.
On the inside, the XUV700 is taking a huge leap compared to the XUV500. The cabin is expected to get more premium functions and materials. The steering is also new with multiple functions that can control the instrument cluster among others. It gets a Mercedes Benz inspired dual-screen setup on the dashboard, one for infotainment and one for the digital instrument cluster.
