Mahindra XUV700: New Details Surface with the Spyshots



Mahindra is all set to launch its new SUV, the XUV700 in the third quarter of 2021. Though the launch may be delayed to the next year due to the present pandemic times. The XUV700 will be a 7-seater and will replace the XUV500. The second-gen XUV 500 will be a 5-seater SUV. It will be built on Mahindra’s W601 platform and will be manufactured at the companies production facility at Chakan, Maharashtra. It will go against the Huyndai Alcazar, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus. According to Mahindra, the car will feature a lot of technologies including segment-first features.

The spy pics reveal that the XUV700 gets dual-tone alloy wheels. All 4 wheels are seen with disc brakes. It also has flush-fitting door handles, LED headlamp and taillamp. A roof-integrated spoiler with a high mounted stop lamp. It also gets a rear wiper with a washer and boot-lid-mounted number plate.

XUV700 is seen with a new dashboard design that looks premium and loaded with features. It gets a dominating large screen which is inspired by Mercedes-Benz single piece split-screen display, for the infotainment system and instrument console. The infotainment supports both Andriod Auto and Apple CarPlay. 

Engine options for XUV700 

It will be offered in both diesel and petrol options. The diesel engine is a 2.2L mHawk unit and the petrol engine is a 2.0L mStallion turbo unit. Both engines are offered in either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The higher trims will have an additional all-wheel-drive setup. 

Expected features

It is loaded with tons of features, it gets ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, start-stop button, keyless entry, powered driver’s seat. But the most significant feature of all is it gets a level 1 autonomous system knows as Advanced driver’s assistance system (ADAS), which offers emergency braking, driver parking assist, a radar system, blind-spot detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and many more.
