The latest spy records of the cheap XUV 700 show that its trim will be getting the much discussed Mercedes-Benz-style dual-screen configuration. It includes a digital driver display and infotainment system. You will also get an electronic air conditioner, two-tone alloy wheels, electric panoramic sunroof, seats and high beams.
The features mentioned will help Mahindra to prove that the entry-level price of XUV700 is a premium product in its product portfolio. Some of the features overlooked by the lower fairing include electronic parking brakes, cruise control, etc. According to reports, Mahindra is trying to give the XUV 700 a high level of safety. Mahindra predicts that the SUV will receive a 5-star GNCAP safety rating.
XUV 700 is based on a new monocoque design, which will be equipped with multiple airbags, EBD, ABS and even advanced driver assistance systems and other functions. Once launched, XUV 700 will compete with Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus. It is expected to compete with Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass based on its positioning.
