According to the company’s latest marketing campaign for its XUV700 SUV, it will be much more luxurious and powerful than its spiritual successor, the Mahindra XUV500. Let’s compare the XUV700’s features, dimensions, and specifications to the XUV500’s to see how far it has come.

In comparison to the XUV500, the XUV700’s overall length and wheelbase are 110mm and 50mm longer than the XUV500 respectively In spite of this, the XUV700’s width and height are unchanged from its predecessor. When comparing the XUV700 to the XUV500, the XUV700’s height has been measured without roof rails.

With Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, a sunroof with a single pane and cruise control as well as analogue dials with a multi-information display and ambient lighting, the XUV500 has it all.
In addition, the XUV700 gets a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system (running Mahindra’s new AdrenoX UI) and an upgraded digital driver’s display with 12 speakers, a memory setting for the power driver’s seat, and LED headlights with high beam assist.
It is also equipped with driver assistance features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, auto emergency braking and emergency braking.

As far as safety features go, both SUVs have a lot to offer. In addition to the seven airbags, the XUV700 also has a 360-degree camera and blind-spot monitor.

It was equipped with a 140PS and 320Nm 2.2-litre turbo-petrol engine before the BS6 emissions standards were implemented. There is now a smaller 2-litre turbo-petrol engine available for the XUV700. In spite of this, the XUV500’s engine produces 60PS and 60Nm more than this one.
Comparatively to the XUV500, the XUV700 is available with both a manual and automatic transmission. However, considering the newer engine’s potential performance, the claimed fuel efficiency could be significantly lower than the XUV500’s unit, according to the company.

There is no difference between the XUV700’s MX diesel base model and the XUV500’s MX diesel base model in terms of horsepower and torque. Both cars are available in manual and automatic transmission, but the former is only available with a manual transmission.
In contrast, the XUV700’s 2.2-litre diesel engine produces 30PS and up to 90Nm more torque than the XUV500’s AdrenoX (AX) trim, which will be available soon. Manual and automatic transmissions, as well as front-wheel and all-wheel drivetrains, will be available with this engine.
Despite this, the XUV500 was also available with an all-wheel drivetrain until April 2020, when the BS6 standards took effect.
