Maruti Baleno facelift: Updated Exterior Styling
The Baleno facelift will also come with a similar styling seen in the new global S-cross. The front grill will extend and integrate with the new stylish headlamps. The overall design will be bold and boxy compared to the smooth-flowing styling of the previous generation models.
Also, minor tweaks are made to the rear taillamp and the tailgate.
Moreover, leaked images show a dual-tone paint scheme with black accents on the trims and rearview mirror housing.
New Urbane Cabin Design
Just like the new stylish exterior styling the Baleno also gets a newly designed cabin. A floating infotainment system dominates the new sculpted dashboard. The AC controls are placed right under this setup and blend well with the overall styling. Other interior styling elements include a flat-bottom steering wheel and a fully digital instrument cluster.
Advanced Tech features
Maruti has always been behind in providing its customers with the latest tech features. However, the automaker is utilizing its partnership with Toyota to bring in a lot of exciting tech features in the new Baleno. The Infotainment system will come with Apple car play and Android Auto connectivity. They are also working on various different connection features for Indian consumers. Moreover, Maruti is taking this initiative one step forward by including a heads-up display (HUD) system in the upcoming Baleno facelift. The HUD system will display various vital information and help the drivers keep their eyes on the road.
Safety First
Maruti brings multiple safety features to the table with the new Baleno facelift. The hatchback will come with dual airbags as standard. However, the high-end models will get up to 6 airbags in total. These include driver, passenger airbags, and curtain bags for all passengers. The top-spec models could also receive the Electronic Stability Program (ESP).
Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki will increase the thickness of the steel used in the outer body panels and on the chassis of the all-new Baleno.
Powertrain
Everything except the automatic transmission setup will be similar to the outgoing model. Maruti is likely to eliminate the expensive CVT automatic gearbox for a cheaper single-clutch automatic or AMT gearbox. However, The new auto gear shift will be a setback when compared to the CVT system. Although this will make the automatic variant more affordable for the consumers.
