CNG will also have lower running costs since it will take a while for electric vehicles to be used by the people. The ex-showroom price for the VXi CNG stands at Rs.8,14,000 whereas ZXi is at Rs.8,82,000.

Maruti CNG Lineup
So far, Maruti offers factory-fitted CNG kits on most of the Arena models like Celerio, Ertiga, Eeco, Alto, WagonR and S-Presso. Besides the Dzire getting CNG treatment, Maruti’s Swift and Vitara Brezza are likely to follow in the same direction as well. CNG is also making its way to some cars in the Nexa showroom like Baleno and Ciaz.
The Maruti Dzire CNG has direct rivals including the Hyundai Aura CNG and the Tata Tigor CNG. The Honda Amaze is the only compact sedan that does not come with an option of the CNG kit. The CNG variants of Maruti are expected to introduce a whole new dynamic and everyone has a lot of expectations.
