Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift will feature minor styling updates

Maruti Ertiga facelift

A test mule of Maruthi Suzuki’s new facelifted Ertiga was found without any camouflage. The Ertiga facelift is one of the updated models Maruti is readying to add to its lineup in 2022. However, the new Ertiga comes with minimal styling updates. Here is what we know about the upcoming Ertiga MPV.

Ertiga Facelift: Exterior changes

The test mule spotted had its front grille covered. So we are expecting the upcoming Ertiga to get a similar front grille we saw in the upcoming Baleno. The front grille will extend towards the front headlamps. Other than the front grille all the other exterior elements of the MPV remain unchanged. Everything including the headlamps, tail lamps, front and rear bumpers, and alloy wheels will remain the same as the existing model.

Ertiga Facelift: Interior updates

The upcoming facelift of Ertiga will come with minimal interior changes. We expect the MPV to get styling changes such as new shades of upholstery and new interior trim. Also, the car will get new and advanced technology and features. Moreover, the Ertiga will continue to come in a seven-seater seating layout like the previous generation model.

Powertrain updates

Under the hood, the Ertiga facelift will come with the same powertrain seen in the existing model. The 1.5-litre gasoline engine comes with integrated mild-hybrid technology. This motor can generate 105 hp of power and 138 Nm of peak torque. In fact, the mild-hybrid system enhances fuel efficiency and provides torque-assist at lower speeds. The transmission options available in the current Ertiga are 5- speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed torque converter gearbox setup.

Pricing

The prices for the current Ertiga extend from Rs. 7.96 lakhs to Rs.10.69Lakh. The petrol-only Maruti Ertiga does not face any direct competition. However, the Mahindra Marrazzo is an indirect rival for the MPV.
