Suzuki has been working on the next-gen S-cross for a very long time. The automaker revealed bits of the upcoming crossover’s headlight through its Italian social media handle. The Japanese manufacturer will unveil the next-gen Suzuki S-cross on 25th November 2021. Spy shots of the vehicle revealed the completely updated styling of the upcoming model.

Although the current model looked good aesthetically, the design made it look more like a hatchback. The tall, somewhat larger, and boxy form of the upcoming S-cross, thus makes the vehicle look more like an SUV.
On the front, the new S-cross gets an updated hexagonal grille with a chrome bar running between the headlamps. The headlamps are now sleekier and have tri-beam LED lighting. Likewise, the front and rear bumpers receive multiple updates. The Foglamp housings are now larger. the central air dam and silver skid plate towards the bottom make the car pretty similar to the Suzuki XL-6.
The new S-cross comes with a taller and more muscular bonnet, Matte black claddings on the sides, and rounded upward sloping windows. On the other hand, the model seen on spy-shot is not a top-end variant as it is missing alloy wheels.
In addition, new interior styling and advanced tech safety like ADAS will be included in the upcoming model. touchscreen infotainment system with Apple car play and Android auto will also be included.
Suzuki S-cross Drivetrain
There is very little information available about the technical updates on the upcoming SUV. The new S-cross might house a 48V mild-hybrid system along with the 1.4-litre Booster jet engine. The unit can generate 127HP and 235Nm of torque.
The model sold in India currently is powered using a 1.5-litre K15B mild-hybrid petrol engine. This unit generates 103 BHP and 138 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission options are available.
Pricing and Competition
Prices for the current S-cross start from Rs.8.59 lakh and might go up to Rs. 12.56 Lakh. Further, the new S-cross will compete against Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun.
To conclude, very little information is available about the upcoming S-cross. More technical details will be available on 25th November, when the Japanese automaker officially unveils the crossover.
