The Vitara Brezza, Maruti Suzuki’s best-selling SUV, will get a new generation in early 2022. While the company has yet to confirm a launch date, rumours in the media suggest it will happen in February. Here are the most important data about the incoming new Maruti Vitara Brezza SUV that we know thus far.

Vitara Brezza Engine and transmission

Under the hood, one of the most significant alterations is said to have been made. The new Vitara Brezza could come with a 48V SHVS hybrid system. This will make it more powerful and efficient than the current 12V system. The 104bhp, 1.5L, normally aspirated, 4-cylinder petrol engine will continue to be offered with the stronger hybrid system.

While the current 5-speed manual transmission will be available, the 4-speed automatic transmission may be replaced with a new 6-speed automatic transmission.

Vitara Brezza platform

The Heartect platform, which underpins Maruti Suzuki’s new breed of automobiles, will be the second major update. According to rumours, the manufacturer may change the architecture to use high-strength steel to improve safety and stability.

The 2019 Vitara Brezza’s interior could get some advanced connected car technologies and new comfort features. A wireless phone charging system and a computerised instrument cluster could be included. According to rumours, the tiny SUV could come with a factory-installed sunroof and ADAS (advanced driver assistance system).

As of now, there are a few specifics about the new Maruti Vitara Brezza for 2021. However, the next model is expected to include significant design alterations. It could get a new grille, as well as updated headlights and DRLs. The front and back parts are expected to undergo little alterations.

The new Maruti Vitara Brezza 2022 will almost certainly be more expensive than the present generation. The present generation is priced between Rs 7.61 lakh to Rs 11.10 lakh (all, ex-showroom).
