The global debut of the latest Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan happened almost a year back. In the latest news, the S-Class of electric SUVs is also prepped to make its entrance into the global market. The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV was teased by the brand recently and it is likely to launch on the 19th of April this year. The new EQS SUV will be manufactured at the Mercedes-Benz manufacturing facility in Alabama.

In terms of exterior design, the teaser images don’t reveal much. Although, the EQS model is likely to copy a few elements from the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV concept

The inside of the new Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV is a blend of different features and innovative elements which make the driving experience smoother. The automaker confirmed that the model will be available with a seven-seater option as well. The digital controls installed in the car are also premium.

One of its features includes a large touchscreen infotainment system and voice command. The vertical infotainment system will respond to ‘Hey Mercedes’ and you can ask whatever you want.  

Battery

There is no confirmation as to the exact specifications of the EQS SUV. Although, it is expected to feature the same 107.8 kWh battery pack which was seen first on the EQS sedan. The battery pack is expected to go up to around 600 km when fully charged. The EQS SUV will have a dual motor setup. The SUV will come in both RWD and AWD configurations.

It will also have a more powerful AMG version with a rear-wheel-drive setup which is expected to arrive later on. It will be built on the same EVA (Electric Vehicle Architecture) platform used in the EQE and EQS sedans

The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV will be the German brand’s fourth electric crossover to be launched. The electric SUV lineup consists of the EQA, EQB and EQC, additionally, the EQS SUV will be at the top of the list.
