MG Motor India has disclosed their sales figures for the month of February 2022. The Automaker successfully sold 4,528 units, which resulted in a positive growth of 5% when compared to the same period the previous year. The great demand for the new Astor and the sturdy sales of Hector and Gloster helped the manufacturer to hit this milestone. We will take a closer look at MG’s performance for the month of February.

MG Car Sales February 2022

MG motors sold a total of 4,528 units in February 2022. The automaker’s sales figure for February 2021 was 4,329 units. We can see positive growth of 5% in sales volume when comparing the YoY sales figures. Moreover, MG achieved a sales growth of 5.15% in January 2022 with total sales of 4,306 units.

The manufacturing of most of MG’s lineup is done in the Halol production plant. This includes the new ZS EV, Hector, Hector Plus, Astor, and Gloster. This plant has a total production output of 80,000 units every year. Also, the plant has a strong workforce with almost 2,500 employees.

Focus on MG ZS EV Facelift

The MG ZS EV is one of the best-selling EVs in India. The company sold a total of 2,798 units of the ZS EV in the previous year. The ZS EV has achieved second place right behind the Tata Nexon EV in the EV sales chart. However, the upcoming facelift version will feature updated styling and a much bigger battery pack. This will surely boost the sales figures and put an end to EV customers’ range anxiety. Moreover, the Astor and ZS EV get similar exterior and interior styling. Furthermore, we expect MG to offer an ADAS feature in the upcoming ZS EV. The feature is already in use in the current Astor.
