MG ZS EV facelift to be launched in February 2022

MG Motors is readying up to reveal the latest update of its all-electric midsize SUV the ZS EV facelift. Although the automaker has not announced an official date, we are expecting the launch to be held in February 2022. The upcoming EV will get minor exterior and interior design styling updates and a new battery pack.

MG ZS EV facelift: Design 

The 2022 ZS EV was revealed globally last year. The BEV looks similar to its ICE sibling the Astor. However, the new design updates have made a significant distinction among both vehicles. At the front, the MG ZS comes with sleek headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. the front bumper comes with An Aston Martin-like crease and parametric pattern close grille with a square charging slot. A chrome lining runs across the sleek vertical air intakes. A new futuristic Alloy wheel dominates the side profile. At the rear, the ZS comes with an LED tail lamp similar to Astor.  

MG ZS EV facelift: Battery Pack

The main highlight of the new MG ZS update is its new battery pack. The EV will come with a new bigger 51kWh battery pack that can provide a range of approximately 480Km. The previous-generation model features a 44.5kW that provides a range of 418Km. This makes the car more efficient and powerful.

The interior will be almost identical to MG Astor. The ZS will get features such as a wireless phone charger, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and a dashboard-mounted AI assistant. Moreover, The ZS will also get a level 2 ADAS setup from the Astor. 

MGs Future in India

MG is planning to make important additions to its EV lineup in India starting with the new ZS EV. Furthermore, MG Motor India has started working on a mass-market electric SUV that will hit the market sometime next year.
