Tata Launched its new Micro SUV Tata punch in October. The New Suv sits below the Tata Nexon in the homegrown automakers line up in India. The Tata Punch is offered as an entry vehicle into the SUV segment. The great demand for the micro SUV has made it the second best-selling SUV in India.

Tata commenced the deliveries of the new Sub-compact SUV immediately after its launch. In October, Tata managed to successfully sell 8,453 units of punch in the Indian market.

Therefore the achievement led the new sub-compact SUV to become the second best-selling car for the automaker. The compact SUV Tata Nexon made it to the top of the cart for the most sold vehicle with a YoY growth of 95%.

Tata punch comes with a modern and bold exterior styling. Likewise, the exterior styling is similar to its siblings’ Harrier and Safari. Exterior features of the Punch include- Projector headlamps, Wraparound LED taillights and a neatly sculpted tailgate with the company branding.

Tata Punch has a lot to offer inside the cabin. The modern dashboard houses a 7inch infotainment system with apple car play and android auto connectivity. In addition, features like iRA connectivity, cruise control, auto-sensing wipers, and auto headlamps are included.

The punch gets a 1.2-litre Revtron petrol engine, Earlier seen in the Altroz and Tiago. The tuned engine generates 84 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox and an automatic transmission system are also available as transmission options.

Tata has a good reputation for safety standards. In fact, the Punch was the third car from the homegrown manufacturer to get a 5-star Global NCAP rating for safety. Further, the vehicle scored 16.45 points out of 17 for adult safety and 40.8 out of 49 for child safety. 

The prices for Punch start at Rs. 5.49 lakh, and stretches up to 9.39 lakh for the top-end variant. The new punch will rival Maruti Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, Maruti Suzuki Ignis, and Mahindra KUV100.
