CNG automobiles are increasingly getting more and more popular in India. Buyers have begun to consider green mobility options such as bi-fuel CNG cars as a result of higher fuel prices and significantly greater ownership expenses. 1. Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG

The 1.0-litre K10C Dual-Jet naturally aspirated petrol engine powers it. This engine produces 56 hp of power and 82.1 Nm of peak torque. The engine is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission. It has a mileage rating of 35.60 km/kg.

 2. Maruti Suzuki WagonR CNG 

most Fuel-Efficient CNG CarsThe Maruti Suzuki WagonR is one of the country’s most popular CNG-powered vehicles. It is claimed to be the most fuel-efficient CNG cars, with a mileage of 33.54 km/kg. LXi and LXi (O) models of the WagonR S-CNG are available. The 1.0-litre petrol engine in the WagonR S-CNG produces 58 hp and 78 Nm of peak torque. Only a 5-speed manual transmission is available to go with the engine.

 3. Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 CNG

Maruti Suzuki states that the car has a fuel efficiency of 31.59 km/kg. The Alto has a single 796cc three-cylinder engine that delivers 40 hp and 60 Nm of peak torque in the CNG version. This is down from the petrol-powered Alto’s 7hp and 9 Nm. The Alto 800 CNG is available in the LXi and LXi (O) models. A 5-speed manual transmission is the sole choice of transmission. 

 4. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso CNG

A 1.0-litre normally aspirated petrol engine produces 56.2 hp and 78 Nm of peak torque in the Maruti S-Presso CNG. The engine is only available with a 5-speed manual transmission, and its claimed mileage is 31.20 km/kg. Power and torque ratings for the CNG-powered S-Presso are lesser than the petrol-powered S-Presso by 9 hp and 12 Nm, respectively. In contrast to other Maruti Suzuki models, the CNG kit is available on the S-Presso’s mid-spec LXi, LXi (O), VXi, and VXi(O) variants.

5. Maruti Suzuki Dzire CNG

The Dzire compact sedan is Maruti’s newest CNG variant. The VXi and ZXi variants of the Maruti Dzire CNG have been launched. The 1.2-litre K12M Dual Jet engine that powers the Dzire petrol is also used in the Dzire CNG. However, in CNG trim, the same engine now generates 77 hp and 98.5Nm of peak torque, down 13 hp and 14.5Nm from the petrol variant. Maruti claims a fuel efficiency figure of 31.12km/kg for the Dzire CNG. This makes it the most fuel-efficient CNG sedan currently available.
